Iraj Rahmani is a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics at the Khorog campus. He holds a PhD in Economics from Michigan State University, USA.

Before joining UCA, Iraj worked as a Research Associate at Michigan State University (MSU) in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He then became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Nazarbayev University (NU) and later served as a Visiting Professor at Shahid Beheshti University and Imam Sadiq University in Tehran, Iran. His research interests include Econometrics and Statistics, Development Economics, and Labour and Health Economics. He has published numerous papers and secured several grants from MSU and NU.
