Turamo Amonbekova

Turamo Amonbekova is an experienced educator and academic coordinator with over two decades of professional experience in teaching, translation, and academic management. She currently serves as a Faculty Coordinator at the University of Central Asia’s School of Arts and Sciences in Khorog, where she supports faculty, coordinates examinations, and manages academic operations. Alongside this role, she has been an English Instructor at UCA’s School of Professional and Continuing Education since 2009, teaching English for Academic Purposes, IELTS preparation, and mentoring new instructors.

Turamo’s career includes work with IPD (Institute for Professional Development) GBAO, the Aga Khan Lycee, the Mountain Societies Development Support Programme, and other education-focused organizations, where she contributed as a translator, reporting officer, and teacher trainer. She holds a diploma with excellence in Oriental Studies from Khorog State University and has earned international certifications including TKT, CELTA and TESOL Methodology.

Fluent in English, Russian, Tajik, Persian, and Shugni, with a strong command of Arabic, Turamo brings rich linguistic expertise and a deep commitment to advancing education and academic development in Central Asia.
