School of Arts and Sciences

UCA’s School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) offers a unique five-year undergraduate programme that cultivates interdisciplinary knowledge and skills students need to advance their intellectual growth, broaden their vision, and create innovations in their professional and personal life. The research-based curriculum combines a liberal arts and sciences education, where students benefit from an outstanding faculty.

The School of Arts and Sciences offers Bachelors Degree programmes with majors in Computer Science, Communications and Media, Global Economics, and Earth and Environmental Sciences at its residential campuses in Khorog, Tajikistan and Naryn, Kyrgyzstan. Students have a demonstrated record of academic achievements as well as all-round excellence. They are winners of academic competitions, passionate advocates for the disadvantaged, talented artists and musicians, award-winning athletes, and enthusiastic volunteers. UCA graduates have been admitted, several on full scholarships, to internationally recognised universities including Brown, Duke, Michigan, University of Toronto, Simon Fraser University and National University of Singapore.

Undergraduate Programmes

UCA’s five-year undergraduate programme begins with a Preparatory Programme that includes English, mathematics, and science courses designed to build foundational skills and knowledge that allows students to succeed in a rigorous, English-language academic environment with international standards.
