- 11:00-11:45 -- Russian language panel
Filmmakers and scholars on multilingual panels explore how the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia are reflected in both local and international cinema. They discuss the challenges and opportunities influencing cinema in Central Asia, forging unprecedented paths for the younger generations of filmmakers and artists. The panels also debate the role platforms like Nomad Festival play in the development of mountain communities of Central Asia by supporting and encouraging emerging talents in creative industries. From a broader perspective, the participants exchange views on the ways in which the medium of film can foster dialogue across the globe for a greater and more nuanced understanding of the human condition.
