President of the Kyrgyz Republic Awards Prestigious Gold Certificate of National Test to SPCE Graduate
Ayganish Dolotbekova, a graduate of UCA’s School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE), was honoured by the President of Kyrgyzstan for securing the prestigious Gold Certificate, the highest award in the National Testing for Grade 11. She ranked among the top 56 out of 52,000 students nationwide.
SPCE provides short-cycle courses across 17 centres in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Afghanistan to promote employability, entrepreneurship, and help students gain admission to reputable universities.
Following the award ceremony, Ayganish spoke to the UCA news team about her journey with SPCE.
UCA News: Congratulations on your achievement. Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
Ayganish: I am a graduate of School №8 in Naryn and also a graduate of UCA’s School of Professional and Continuing Education.
UCA News: What was the key to scoring a high grade on the national test?
Ayganish: It is hard to identify one key factor that helped me succeed. I would say diligence was very important while preparing for the exam. Even though every individual is unique and has different learning paths, everyone can achieve such results with some effort. Despite hard work, the support of the people surrounding me was extremely helpful. That includes support from my family, friends, school, and of course ongoing guidance from my SPCE teachers.
UCA News: How did you hear about UCA’s SPCE and what motivated you to join?
Ayganish: I first heard about SPCE two years ago from my classmates who were studying English there. I decided to also improve my English language skills and joined SPCE. The high quality of lessons and motivation that I gained at SPCE inspired me to join one programme after another, so I completed several levels of English language and preparation for the national test in mathematics and Russian language.
UCA News: How useful have the courses at SPCE been for you?
Ayganish: The courses at SPCE were extremely useful. Before joining SPCE, I was not a big fan of mathematics. However, the classes at SPCE cultivated in me a love for mathematics and geometry. Similarly, last year I had an elementary level of English language, but within a year, with SPCE’s help and individual study, I was able to achieve the upper-intermediate level.
UCA News: What would you like to say to the youth of Naryn and similar remote mountainous regions?
Ayganish: I would say that one should learn to set goals and achieve those goals. It is important to be systematic and organised in your studies. Besides studying the school material or going to extracurricular courses, one should learn to gain knowledge from the surrounding world, including the Internet. I believe it is also important to read more books, especially classical and fictional literature, as they improve analytical skills.
