
Johar Sabuwala is a seasoned financial leader with over 20 years of experience in financial management, strategic planning, and business transformation across the healthcare sector.
Prior to joining UCA, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Pacific International Hospital, where he led cost-efficiency initiatives, enhanced operational performance, and played a key role in digital transformation. He also held senior leadership positions at Qassim National Hospital, Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, and Jaslok Hospital, contributing to financial restructuring, hospital acquisitions, and ERP implementation.
Johar is a Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a Master’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and has completed various leadership and technology programmes, further strengthening his strategic and technical expertise.
At UCA, Johar serves as Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for ensuring the University’s long-term financial sustainability. He oversees accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, investments, compliance, and audit coordination. In his role, he advises senior leadership and the Board of Trustees, supporting UCA’s institutional growth through sound financial planning and risk management.
He also leads the Finance team, promoting a culture of excellence, transparency, and accountability, while aligning financial practices with UCA’s mission and strategic goals.
