Google ScholarDr Kanat Tilekeyev is a GSD Head of Executive Education and a Senior Research Fellow, with GSD’s Institute of Public Policy and Administration, where he is engaged in research and capacity-building projects enhancing social cohesion through community-driven development, and gender and employment in Central Asia. Prior to joining UCA, Tilekeyev has worked as an Economist and Agricultural Specialist with the Kyrgyz Agricultural Institute, and in the private sector (oil, food processing, and agricultural production). His doctoral research defined and empirically validated the main determinants of rural poverty in Kyrgyzstan, and provided recommendations for growth in agriculture.
Kanat holds Masters and PhD in Transition Studies/Economics from the Center for International Development and Environmental Research, University of Giessen, Germany, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Kyrgyz Agricultural Institute.
