Abstract
The lecture will explore the work of IICAS, an organisation dedicated to understanding and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Central Asia. IICAS focuses on various topics related to the region, such as its history, culture, politics, and economy.
The talk will highlight key regional cultural and scientific issues and show how IICAS helps local researchers connect with their counterparts from other countries. Their approach includes studies on different aspects like art, history, languages, and the environment, aiming to raise awareness about Central Asia's important historical and cultural matters and strengthen ties between local and international scholars.
IICAS was established in August 1995 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. It originated from UNESCO's initiatives to explore and promote discussions along the historic Silk Roads.
