Aigul Abdubaetova

Research Support Manager

Aigul Abdubaetova is Research Support Manager, working to support research output, researcher capacity building, and the development of the research ecosystem at UCA. Aigul previously worked at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Academy in Bishkek as Programme Manager of the MA in Politics and Security Programme and Head of Research and Training Unit. She was a Central Asia Research Fellow in 2019 at the George Washington University and has extensive experience in leading and designing research and educational programmes, managing research grants, developing project budgets, donor relations and reporting, developing capacity building initiative and organizing academic and policy events. Aigul’s other previous work experiences include working for several international and non-profit organizations in Melbourne Australia in the areas of social justice, disadvantaged youth, and education. Earlier in her career, Aigul held part time positions with the University of Oregon, University of Melbourne and American University of Central Asia. Aigul received her MA degree from the University of Oregon in International Studies and BA diploma in World Languages from Osh State University.
