UCA Students Participate in Prestigious Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Bootcamp
Thirteen Computer Science students from the University of Central Asia (UCA) took part in the highly regarded InkubasiaLAB 2024 Machine Learning and AI Bootcamp, held on the shores of Lake Yssyk-Kol, Kyrgyzstan. The intensive, week-long programme was led by experts from Silicon Valley, USA, including professionals from major companies such as Google, LinkedIn, and Meta. This immersive experience allowed UCA students to enhance their knowledge of machine learning applications while gaining practical, hands-on experience in a collaborative setting.
“I’m grateful for this incredible opportunity. It was one of the best weeks of my life! The kindness of everyone, along with the engaging lessons and activities, helped me connect with mentors and fellow students. I feel truly inspired to pursue a career in machine learning,” said Arisbek Alikbaev, a UCA student, reflecting on his experience at the bootcamp.
Associate Professor Ayman Ajarbouh, Chair of the Department of Computer Science at UCA’s School of Arts and Sciences, remarked, “Beyond skill development, the bootcamp offered invaluable networking opportunities, enabling our students to connect with peers from diverse backgrounds, industry professionals, thought leaders, and potential mentors in the fields of machine learning and AI. As our Computer Science Department continues to emphasise the importance of applied learning, we look forward to seeing the innovative projects that emerge from this exciting experience.”
