Call for Papers: Workshop on Health and Health-related Sustainable Development Goals
The University of Central Asia’s Graduate School of Development is currently participating in an international research project examining the progress made by Kyrgyzstan towards the achievement of the health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of this project, an Expert Advisory Committee has been established to serve as a Think Tank, tasked with identifying progress, understanding bottlenecks, and addressing challenges ahead. The Committee includes experts from academia, government, state agencies, civil society organizations, and development agencies.
The Think Tank convenes 1-2 times per year. The first meeting took place at the University of Central Asia in December 2023, where the first Annual National SDG Report was discussed. More information on the project can be found here: Health and Health-related SDGs Think Tank.
The second Think Tank meeting will take the form of a research workshop, and we are therefore pleased to invite submissions of individual research papers, posters or projects related to the Health and Health-related Sustainable Development Goals.
The 2nd Think Tank meeting will be held at the University of Central Asia, in Bishkek, on Tuesday 19 November 2024.
We welcome all proposals on topics related to the health and health-related SDGs in Kyrgyzstan or Central Asia more broadly, but are particularly keen to solicit papers additionally linked to climate change (and health), mental health, and gender (and health)
