Bakytbek Tokubek Uulu is a research fellow at University of Central Asia. He has joined Institute of Public Policy and Administration of UCA in January 2018. His research interests include youth, SME, Entrepreneurship, labour market, conflict and peace studies and education. Bakytbek Tokubek Uulu is mainly responsible for qualitative research. Since joining IPPA, he has contributed to the research on the youth labour market and research on the garment sector.
Bakytbek Tokubek Uulu holds MA in International Peace Studies from UN University for Peace in Costa Rica and the Philippines; BA in Cultural Anthropology from American University of Central Asia. Prior to joining UCA, Bakytbek has been working in various international organizations (Hanns Seidel Foundation, IRG, OTI, IREX, Counterpart International Inc.) within USAID and EU funded projects. His experience includes working with civil society, youth and education sector.
