Makhfirat Olimshoeva is a Lecturer of English for Academic Purposes based at UCA’s Khorog Campus. She holds a Diploma as an English Language Instructor, a five-year degree programme (equivalent to a BA Honours + degree in English). After six years of classroom-based teaching in secondary schools and a university, she received a highly prestigious and fully funded (bilateral) government scholarship for a two-years Master in the TESOL programme.

After obtaining her MA degree, she worked for over eight years with the Association of Entrepreneurs and Mountain farmers “Milal Inter”, implementing projects financed by GIZ Tajikistan, OSCE, VSO Tajikistan, UNECE, and other development partners. Makhfirat participated in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization, fostered effective teamwork, oversaw planning and implementation of the projects, human resource policies, controlled financial reports, and prepared analytical reports for donors. Currently pursuing her PhD Interdisciplinary Studies at Simon Fraser University, Canada.
